Mother's Day is coming! Share an experience with your Mom!

   Abby Sullivan Photography makes professional portraits every day, and we realize you don't experience this as often as we do. Many people feel awkward in front of a camera. We want you to relax, feel comfortable, so your real expressions can be captured. We want you to have a fun, photographic experience.

Each session usually takes about an hour,  The sessions are fun for 

parents and children and are never rushed, some may take a few extra minutes and 

some may take less.  Within 7-10 days of the session, we will meet for your follow-up 

appointment where you choose your photographs, and within 4 weeks they will be 

hand-delivered to you. 

TEN TIPS TO HAVING A GREAT SESSION 

1) Be on time--10 minutes early is optimal. It is a priority that nobody 

feels rushed during the session. 

2) Have freshly cleaned faces for young children :-)  and teeth brushed for shiny teeth!

Pets should be groomed. 

3) Solid colors and long sleeves typically work best for the session. Questions about clothing choices, can be discussed with the photographer during your pre-consultation.  

  

4) Be sure the children are wearing something you really like because these 

photographs are meant to capture a memories that will last a lifetime.  Also children should be comfortable in their clothing, so we can capture their true personality. 

5) Have the children well-fed before the session. 

6) There is no need to practice saying “cheese” before the session because this 

doesn’t provide the natural look that we are aiming to capture. 

7) Encourage your children to follow the photographer's leads during the 

session.  This will allow the session to run smoothly  be more fun for them. 

8) Walk your pets before they come into the studio.

9) Allow the photographer to direct the children during the session.  If your 

assistance is needed, the photographer will let you know.  

10) If your session is in the afternoon, a little nap after lunch can go a long way with little ones (and big ones)! 

  Sounds small, but it will make a big difference!
